I went and looked at my truck. my sticker is on the computer itself. I show a Serial #, model #, Ford P/N #, and PCM #. I didnt see a Hex code #. When I bought my truck I did look at Carfax, and it didnt show it had been back to a dealer for servive. I would say it is the original software.

The PCM # may be the HEX code. Does it end with HEX?

The last four are your HEX code # ACB7. I got my Hex off the Edge, it must be reading the whole code or something.

I went out and looked at my truck and the dealer did not replace the sticker or even make any notation that the HEX was changed that I can see. My original code was TEM7.

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but speaking of good tuners with Xcal2 Here is a link to one of the best. I use Doug's tunes on my mustang and they are the real deal.

I was thinking hard about going with Bamachips, I even spoke with Doug on the phone, even exchanged a few emails. In the end I decided to go with Troyer based on their long reputation and many satisfied post on his tuning capabilities. I didn't want to wait for tunes but I figure Troyer is worth the wait based on everything I've read.
