Ordering aftermarket parts online?
I'm a full time EMT in an area that isn't very busy so I spend lots of time on the Internet looking at aftermarket parts and had a thought. Has anybody ever ordered parts on amazon and if so how was the quality, fitment and finish?

I order parts from amazon all the time. It's the same as ordering from any other etailer or retailer.
I ordered wix transmission filter, I got a wix transmission filter same as local, except cheaper. My build thread is chock full of parts I've ordered from amazon.

Beer, Boats, and Trucks.
Amazon is just a marketplace. You have to check who its brand is and who its shipped and sold by, they are going to be the ones responsible for quality. I get parts off Amazon all the time, some junk and some great! Depends on the brand/seller

I've gotten plenty of parts from amazon, even some from EBAY.
The only replacement parts I've had fail...were from big box stores. lol

I too am considering buying from Amazon, particularly because I need a set of coils and plugs for my 2005 F-150 5.4 L 3-valve engine. Ford told me the coils were $83.45 ea. and the plugs were $19.00 ea. Did I just get transported to another time and place on another world? Amazon has a set of eight coils for $36.00. Is this possible? According to my vin # they should work. Does anyone know if they would be compatible?

Reliable? Probably not.
See, this is what we were all talking about. You're looking at some non-OEM COPs vs OEM. Admittedly you might find OEMs for less than Ford WOULD charge you, but yea, not this much less.
