Orange County Chopper F-150

What makes it a "POSER package"? Just curious.....
Are people who aren't ranchers who buy the King Ranch F150 posers? Are people who don't own a Harley that buy a Harley Davidson edition F150 posers? WHo cares if its a dealer package and not a Ford special edition....the same concept applies. Who are you to judge anyone for buying something they personally like? So what it has some stripes that say Orange County Choppers, that in no way makes anyone a "poser". There are a lot of other packages out there that people think are cool that are nothing more than some graphics, different paint, and/or some bolt on body parts that has someone else's name placarded all over it.
He likes the looks of it. Kinda like that bullbar you have on the front of your truck...serves no function, but you apparently like they way it looks or you wouldn't have it on there. There are no lights on your bull bar and I'm going to assume that truck never sees more than the occasional dirt road...does that make your truck a POSER truck by having an offroad light bar on it? And is that a Harley Davidson vanity plate I see on the front of your truck? Is it "posing" as a Harley Davidson edition F150?

As a used truck buyer (can't afford new) I wouldn't care if it's branded orange county, harley or burger king or whatever. In the used market you can't be fussy. If the truck's good, buy it. And over time, make it look the way you like it.

Hello Everyone,
I am looking at buying a 2006 F-150 Orange County Chopper edition truck and was wandering where I can get some info on what these trucks have that sets them apart. I am also wanting to know where to purchase replacement parts for them. One of the Orange County Chopper emblems is missing on the center console and I would want to replace it. If anyone has some info that would be greatly appreciated.

Somebody paid royalties to OCC; at least for the decals...
For that reason, I would'nt buy it, as that family certainly does not need my money! The show used to be entertaining; they even built some nice artwork in the form of two wheeled motorcycles. Then the show had to go mellow drama, and it got stupid. The father abandoned the sons; I can only hope this is all for the show, and not true reality. Something my son does not need to watch or think "is normal".
And now a Ford truck appears....
Buy a truck, improve on it with your own personal tasts, and enjoy it. Awhile back, someone started a post here asking for ideas that folks did to their truck. It was excellent, as the individual changes that were done on the trucks shown by pictures indicated that there's still originallity out there. Search out that post and it will motivate you into creating your own truck.
Maybe someone should call Mikey and tell him to buy that OCC truck; then in a future episode they would have the father drive it into a snowbank, or into his old office, or into the woods like he did with his other vehicles. That will entertain some folks.

Am I the only one who sometimes enjoys just reading the back and forths for laughs. Some of you guys have an excellent talent for words and I don't have a problem with it at all. You can't always read tone of voice but usually get the jist. Ok so yeah some guys do seem to have a sarcastic tone which can be dissapointing to someone looking for help and does'nt seem as knowledgeable. Some guys hit and run with their advice too. Im guilty of both but I try to remind myself that this forum encompasses all walks of F150 owners from novice to expert and everything in between(myself). Probably 90 percent of posters need help. Don't want to be told to do a search or why are you posting another question. In most cases they need help now. Don't get me wrong, I love this site and you guys are awesome. Im as sarcastic as the next guy but I guess Im just chiming in with my 2 cents. People ragged on the poster and he bought the truck anyway. I say good for him. He valued our oppinions and said "screw you all, Im buying the truck" see, theres my sarcasm again

Well since this thread was dug up today and the original post was from 2010 I wasn't going to post. But the OCC truck looks like it took a cruise through east LA and had some "unique" touches put on it. Take off those wheels, grille insert and racing stripes, that truck could look okay. Just my opinion.
