Has anyone mounted their edge in a nice clean spot rather than the pod they give you?? I have an 04/screw lariat and was thinking about doing some surgery and making a nice clean mount in the ash tray....that way i can pop it out to moniter and/or change program, then simply push it back in out of sight. I really dont see any other place to mount. Tell me maybe ive missed something nice, sleek and clean haha

Thats a good idea, im shootin to get it out of my windsheild area. My duramax was easy, i made a plate that went rite in my little cubby on the headliner and it fit perfect and actually looked like it was suppose to be there.

So you got me to thinking and I just made a mount like the one above. It worked out perfect! I actually had a piece of metal, already painted black. I did it a little different than the one above, I mounted it up under the headliner and used one of the 2 holes for the sun visor bracket (that end on the bracket/mount, there was a hole already, I ran the sun visor screw through the hole in the bracket). It still snugged down nice and tight. It took some creative bending but it it looks like it belongs there. I used double sided tape, but will redo it with some sticky velcro for when I do updates or custom tunes. I will post pics in the morning or Monday. So glad to be rid of the ugly faded dash pod!
