Default one step closer to less ugly

from stock
for some reason my 04 SCAB lariat came with a tan honey comb grill, but the rest of the plastic is black soooo i made it black today
b4

after

nothing like some good ole adhesion promoter and some leftover UA black from a town car. all i did for prep was hit it with a grey scuff pad n dish soap. i didnt even hit inside every other honey comb piece.once it was dry, i cleaned it with plastic cleaner. painted the back side to.

nicely done, man. ive got a two tone truck with white and tan, so my grill kinda matches. but it did look a little off in that top pic with your color setup. heh, actually might not have even thought so until i saw the difference the black makes. good job!

All of the Lariats have the tan grill for some reason, it wasn't just stuck in there. I think it matches the wheels if you look at the paint on the inside of the spoke. I agree it looks way better black though, nice job. I gotta get those bulbs you have too.

So now what do you plan to do about the remaining tan center caps? I think the tan grille looks good. It is one of the main differentiating charactaristics for the Lariats/King Ranch from XLT/FX4's. Not that black doesn't look good on a black truck. Nice job though.
