alright i cant find a wiring diagram lol.
youve got the proper wires from the trailer tow connection. black/pink is reverse and orange is power.
the red wire should be your power wire, goes to orange and the reverse wire should go to the black/pink...is the connection solid? try getting that speaker wire out of there and jsut use normal wire.
strip about and inch of coating back on all wires and then twist the proper wires together. check your ground to make sure it is a good one. no rust or paint. also double check your fuse # 10, 13 and 106 to make sure you didnt some how short them out.
if you have a voltmeter you should check to see if you have power at orange.

I really want to start over and get those speaker wires out of there. Do you think I could get some connectors to connect the black/pink and orange wires back together, then cut the loom back some more and cut the insulation back an inch further up the wire?
Also, I'm pretty sure that the white wire is a ground wire. Can I do the same process to the white wire for the ground or do I need to get its own ground?
I picked up a tester today, but wanted to get some help before I go and screw something up again, lol.

are you sure the white wire is labeled ground? just kinda odd that they ahve a white wire for ground and not a black one. double check the cameras wire chart. you gotta be positive on white colors and purpose, not knowing is how you mess stuff up and electrical isnt something to guess on. lol just a tip.

The white wire goes to the trailer hook up. It's in the same wire loom as the black/pink and orange wire. The camera has a red wire for power and a black for ground.

ok sorry had to pwn some peepz at call of duty.
i read through that other forum and if you followed just as he did you should have no problem with getting this to work. i would go back through, double check that all your wires are hooked up properly and try to get rid of the speaker wire. just twist and tape. if you can solder i would solder them.
as for the ground wire just get it to a good clean free of rust and paint ground. take some sand paper and sand your ground down. i have found that the bumper is a pretty good place to ground. i have some lights grounded to my front bumper and they work great.
if you have everything hooked up the right way go through and check the fuses that i stated and check to make sure the head unit is set up right. make sure the RCA cables are plugged in all the way too.

I have a reverse camera similar to yours.
The yellow wire plugs into the camera the goes and plugs into the monitor.
The other wire on the camera (orange plug) the red wire gets spliced into the reverse wire. I pulled one of the tail lights and spliced into the reverse wire there. The other wire (black) goes to ground.
At the monitor I took that power wire(red) and ran it to the fuse block (passenger side kick panel) and got a piggy-back fuse holder and installed a 15 amp fuse in the holder. The black wire in the monitor wire loom goes to ground.
With the monitor wire I did have to splice the red wire to extend to the fuse panel.
Go to Radio Shack and get some proper wire and crimp connectors. Any wire connections exposed to the elements you may want to get some heat shrink around the crimp connector(s).
