Hmm, my 07 5.4 has new Motorcraft plugs, Motorcraft coils, Motorcraft O2 sensors, FL80S Motorcraft oil filter, Motorcraft 5W20, clean throttle body and MAF and runs like a champ, with no knocks/codes/ticks. Oh yeah, about to turn 130K. I say stick with what works, Motorcraft, but thats just me. Its been said time and time again, these trucks are very picky about aftermarket replacement parts. To the OP, hope you get it figured out, nothing worse than a vehicle you dont trust.

So got a new plug and accel cop today payed about 60$ for both but had to do it.. Got the coil out no problem real corroded and spring was kinda brown towards the top.. Pulled plug out didn't look too bad but put a new one in anyway also had the battery disconnected idk if that matters but I did.. Put copper anti seize on the new Champion 7989 plug put it in tightened as much as I could then put the Accel 14033 or whatever the P# is.. Drunk it up took a few secs but started up came inside to get out the rain and let it run bout 5 minutes then went outside to turn it off seemed to be runnin at the correct 5-700 RPMs so turned it off and inside I came.. It will get a test drive in few as I have
To go to the gym to workout..
Here's a few pics for you guys
Got a pick of coil and plug
Then old plug
The rain and cloudy crappy weather

I agree as much as I hate all the problems with my truck I wouldn't drive any other truck (GM Chevy etc)

Swap the injector on cylinder 3 with any other cylinder and see if the misfire follows. The too lean code could be a bad O2 sensor or bad cat. How long has it been misfiring?

Took a test drive throttle response is def more clear still got a slight shudder no code only on big hills too and it misfired the first time about a week then this time prob 4-5 days so O2 sensors are next if it keeps up I look into the injectors don't know much about them though

Switch to the sp515 motorcraft plugs, and use NICKLE anti seize on the plug shank..
Have you been properly gapping your champion plugs? The gap looks a little bit big in the picture..
Champion plugs suck.. I'd stay away from them if I was you.. As long as you anti-seize the new plugs, you don't have to worry about plug breakage.
Like stated earlier.. Just do a general ignition system tune up, and you won't have any issues for quite some time.. If you change your 02's make sure its the fronts, the rears are not as critical..

So I don't need to worry about the rear o2 sensors? And where are they located in the front
