complete tune-up... all plugs (motorcraft) all new COP's (springs and boots) (motorcraft) 05 with how many miles on it ??

Just rolled over 120k and I got champion plugs nothing wrong with them I trust them more than MC prob bought to replace O2 sensors as well any recommendations Bosch etc I replaced all the plugs springs and boots but I'm also gonna get some different ones cause the ones I have now are not up to my standards and oreillys is gonna get me a discount with lifetime warranty

It doesn't knock any louder than any other 5.4 I've heard how would I know though?

Mine don't either but the engine is not any louder than any other 5.4 I've heard is what I mean

It wont knock with a bad injector. Is the truck still throwing a specific cylinder misfire code?

Yea still throwing the cyl 3 along with too rich and too lean in bank 1 idk how the freak that's possible but that's what it says

I am purchasing my 1st F150 this coming Saturday. I am buying a 2005 F150 Super Crew Cab 4.6. I was a little bummed it wasn't a 5.4 initially. The more I read, I think I will be very happy with the 4.6.

You will be. It's a great engine. I started with an 05 5.4. Got so over the issues traded it in for a 4.6 and got a tuner. Never looked back

Hmm, my 07 5.4 has new Motorcraft plugs, Motorcraft coils, Motorcraft O2 sensors, FL80S Motorcraft oil filter, Motorcraft 5W20, clean throttle body and MAF and runs like a champ, with no knocks/codes/ticks. Oh yeah, about to turn 130K. I say stick with what works, Motorcraft, but thats just me. Its been said time and time again, these trucks are very picky about aftermarket replacement parts.

To the OP, hope you get it figured out, nothing worse than a vehicle you dont trust.
