I have a small connector behind my radio that is not plugged in but it does not fit the sub connector on the 2008 audiophile radio I bought. Also I cannot find the rear connector anywhere in the places mentioned in this and other threads.

What else could the small connector be and where can I buy the two connector other than a salvage yard?

I just got a '07 F150 XLT with the Audiophile. It doesn't have the factory sub in the back. I ordered a Bazooka 10 dual voice coil to put in there. I'm in a band and I use the truck to carry my equipment sometimes, so the Bazooka was attractive since it can be easily removed.

I found the L-shape slit under my back seat, but I can't feel the wires under there. I'm going to see if I can't pop the seat out this afternoon after work to see if I can find them. If I can, will the wire that sends constant power be good enough to power the Bazooka? I really don't want to get into running wires and plugging straight into the battery. The only reason I want a sub is because the factory stuff isn't bassy enough for me. I have the bass turned all the way up and it feels like mids/highs only, so obviously the system was designed to have a sub back there. Thanks in advance.

The circuit it's on is fused at the central junction box at 25 amps. You'll probably be okay with the bazooka.

Are you sure you have an audiophile head unit?

Yeah, it's Audiophile with the sat radio, 6-disc and rds. The sticker that came on the truck even stated that. I'm really hoping those wires are under there so it'll save me the hassle of doing a full wiring job.

Hate to drag up an old thread, but I have an 06 Lariat and I found the subwoofer plug under the rear seat. I am going to purchase a factory sub but my question is, does this plug under the seat plug directly into the amp on the sub or do I need a connector harness. there doesn't appear to be much slack on the plug now....maybe it is just taped down under the carpet since my truck did not come with the sub option.
Also will I need to plug in something behind the radio?

Default FOMOCO466 YOU ROCK!!! Thanks!!!

I finally got my upgraded stock stereo and sub wired and working!!!! Thanks to YOU!!! It took searching for a week but finally found your post and it worked!!! Thanks!!! And for everyone's information a 2004 FX4 SCAB does not have the sub wire in the back under the carpet, it only had DVD connection for Audiophile and then I used this site's info to run 3 wires to the sub and it worked!!!

Are there any other aftermarket setups that have SUB/AMP/Box like the stock OEM that will plug into the stock connection. I want to get a little more sound without having it so loud that all other sounds of the song are cancled and wihtout having to buy seperate parts and have it rewired. HElP!!

I am trying to hook up both of the plugs and I need to fully wire up the sub. I was just wondering which wires are what in the central junction box and which ones from the two plugs I would hook these wires up to? I am really lost and I'm not real sure what I'm doing.

Pictures and more direct questions would help. I've done commercial wiring of 30+ mobile DVD players, screens, and tons of subs and speakers.
