I was told these cameras will work with any aftermarket unit as long as the except video input. There is a ford module required if you try and connect to oem nav unit, but if you have oem nav you probably have the oem camera anyway.

I don't think backup cams were available on the NAV radios in 05, but could be wrong, I don't even remember if nav radios were available at all in that body style LOL

Your right they started the cameras in 07-08 in our trucks. Mine was never equipped with nav or a camera but I now have both and it was easy to install.

86KingRanch...

I have a 2007 XLT.. If i have a mirror that has a video input (RCA), will one of these work? Which one of these did you get?

Thanks!
I'll bet that those two links are selling the same item (item was manufactured from the same "plant"). The camaera is just that, a camera, so it will work with any receiver (i.e. your rear view mirror, or a monitor that has an RCA type input jack. If it has another type of jack, then I'm sure someone out there in geekland makes an adaptor!

The issue is the power and ground. The camera requires a ground and DC power source. Most use the reverse light circuit; only powers on when the vehicle is placed in reverse.

You are correct power was provided received from reverse lights and I grounded the unit to the frame. Either of these cameras should also be fine, I think mine was the top camera from ebay.

If you're looking for an emblem camera for less than $200 check out our EG series camera:

https://camera-source.com/automotive...display-s.html

However, for only $60 more with coupon code "F150FORUM" you can have our top of the line Super CMOS OE Fit kit which has a clearer picture than even the factory camera. In addition we copied the Ford parking guidelines exactly, loom the entire harness, and warranty the camera for 3 years. You can see that camera here:

https://camera-source.com/automotive...display-s.html

Use the compare tool on our website to see the differences side by side.

If you want the very best get our CS-FTRa kit and for $259 with the coupon it's a great deal!

Forgot to mention we also have the same setup in a tailgate handle model if you want to go that route... 3 year warranty, crystal clear camera, and pre-loomed harness:
