Default OEM fender flares

Hey guys, I am currently looking for factory fender flares for my 04 f150 xlt. However, all I can find are the "oem style" fender flares. The ones that you don't bolt up to your truck. I think they're called pocket style or something that. But that's not what I want. I want the real deal. So if anyone can help me out here in my attempt to find them, it'll be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Well your wording is a little confusing. Factory fender flares are "OEM style". Just a little tip, flares from 04-14 fit our trucks. I have OEM flares off a 2013 on mine.

FYI, OEM flares mount in factory punched holes, located on the outside of the fender and on the fender lip. MY FX4 has these holes. When I installed flares on my XLT (without holes) I used the OEM style sold on ebay. These mount along the fender with 3M tape and along the lip with screws. In looks, they were identical to OEM...

^^^That is correct, I kept the tabs on mine, cut the nub off that would normally go into the holes in the fender, then put double sided 3M tape on them, lined them up, used the factory fasteners for the inner fender on the front, the 2 bottom bolts on the rear and then about 6 christmas tree style push pins on the fender lip. I did prime and paint the holes I drilled and then put silicone in each hole before the push pins.

Yeah I apologize for the wording. I just wanted the push-pin type. I was gonna take it somewhere to have people who are a little more professional drill the holes and mount them up. But yeah the only ones I can find are the ones that just stick to your truck. Or at least that's how I read it. Idk though. All I know is that I just want to mount up some factory fender flares and have it done right.

Then you have to buy different fenders with holes in them......that requires painting and more money.

I swapped my factory flares for these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They are just a little bit wider than the OEM 1/2". I might be selling the stock flares in the near future...keep an eye open in the classifieds

Plus drilling the rear 'fender' sides...

Factory vs. aftermarket. IMO, (if done right) the stick on flares would provide better sealing against the body than the push pins, but it's your truck and your call.
