Default Engine Shudder at highway speed 5.4 V8

So I am not the most mechanically inclined person but hopefully someone here can provide me with some incite.
When I am traveling at highway speeds (light pressure on the gas) if I try and accelerate the truck will jerk. if I let off the gas for a second and get back on it will go away. when it happens though its a fairly severe jerking, cant be healthy. I initially thought it was a tranny slip but the shop seemed to think all was well with it and it was an engine misfire. I am going to take it to the shop again but I don't have a lot of money to throw at it so hoping some one has had a similar issue.

Usually this condition is misfire related. You'll need to hook it up to a code reader to see if there's any pending codes if you don't already have a check engine light.

Misfire should be accompanied with a blinking CEL, but you might not have it if it's still early on in the phase. I agree with nrivera04, that's probably what it is. Start saving money for new plugs (Motorcraft only) and $50 on Amazon will get you a good Chinese pack of 8 replacement coils. A lot of us are using them and they work fine.
