Default Odd Noise - How Bad is It?

Okay guys, I have a 2004 Lariat 5.4. In the last month or so I have noticed, not every time, an odd almost grinding noise. It occurs only during startup, when the engine is cranking, but only for about 1 second. It is deeper than a grind, and it is a little hard to hear over the engine, but it seems to come from under the passenger side dash or under hood.

I am pretty confident that it is NOT the blend door actuator groan, because I have that occasionally and sounds completely different. The sound I am describing also occurs whether the climate controls are on or off.

Any chance this is the 4WD IWE solenoid?

At any rate, I'd be grateful for some insight.

It's your cam chain tensioners. The gaskets are blown and the oil pressure is bleeding off when the engine is off. The chains then lose tension and rattle at start up.
