exhaust question
I want to get exhaust done soon, I just heard about these dumped exhausts (Keep in mind my automotive knowledge is close to zero) are these cheaper bc there is less pipe and no tips? and do they give off different sounds?

Yes it is cheaper to have pipes "dumped" because there is less pipe and labor.
Yes it sounds WAY different than pipes run all the way out with tips.
Now my .02 I don't like dumped exhaust just because it tends to drone in the cab. I always have mine run out the back with tips. That said you probably don't like all the same things I do so my advice. Listen to what different trucks sound like and not on YouTube watch cars that drive by you can notice if the pipes run out are not pretty easy. You will also figure out what sounds best to you flowmasters or glass packs or straights or whatever.

I had a 97 reg cab 4.2 with 36" glass packs ran all the way out the back to 24" long 6" diameter chrome tips. At idle it sounded like a v8 but if you got it over about 2500 the weed eater started to show its self. Lol
