haha, you guys need to get a sports car and have some fun.

on a side note, even the new f150 (2009) can only run a quarter at 16.96 @ 85.9mph (according to youtube video testing the top 6 full size trucks). thats slow as crap, but it is what it is. these trucks are made for hauling, not hauling *****. fwiw: the top six in order from #1 to #6: Silverado, Tundra, Sierra, Dodge, Nissan, Ford. I still love my truck, its just not a screamer from the light. I love the looks and styling, unbeatable by other brands.

edit: please dont hate on me! I love my truck. just thought maybe this would help clear the air as far as some feeling their truck is a bit sluggish.

my truck has the same it feels like a dead spot on the tps i dont have to mash down to notice it. as im coming to a hill at about 40 as i tip into the throttle lightly the truck loses all power( like the engine stalls) then it kicks down and goes with no problem but it really feels like the engine has completely cut out and then says ohhhh you want to go and downshifts instead of staying in gear and just bringing up the rpms

heh, i know. I'm driving my 2004 f150 w/ 116k miles and the thing runs incredible. not to mention that my interior still looks almost as new as the day it was bought. I wish ford wouldve given them a bit more power, but when it comes down to it, Its strong enough to haul what i need it to and looks good doing it. Also, gotta love the bed depth compared to other models.

also on youtube, there is another official test comparing gas mileage to those same top model full size trucks. Ford came out number 1.

now the test i seen only compared the v8's. although i'm not sure if they compared the ford 4.6 or 5.4. I'll have to go back and check it out.

for those of you that experience a bit of lag when smashing the pedal while driving, I'm pretty sure thats normal.
