Default occasional misfire ??

Ok guys, ever since I had my tranny rebuilt it feels like I am getting a random misfire. It never did it with the overdrive off.. when I am going up a hill and barely pressing the gas, my truck with start bucking. It stops as soon as I give it more gas and it downshifts. Today I was going on a flat surface, stopping for a slow car, and tried to feather the pedal to slowly build up speed. It started bucking when I barely pressed the gas and as soon as I gave it a little more gas it stopped. It has been doing this for five months now. I changed spark plugs about 15000 miles ago and have installed 3 COPs with BWD brand from Oreilys. I figured by now that I would get a CEL but it has yet to happen. I really don't think it's transmission related , I think it's more engine related. It usually happens around 1500 RPMs. It won't do this every time so it just happens randomly. Anyone else have this problem or a solution?

Not all the boots and springs just replaced the cops that I was getting a misfire code on. I'll try to change the boots and springs tomorrow. That makes sense. Any other contacts I can clean? Also can I buy them as a package deal or do I have to buy individually?

Clean the cop contacts when you replace the boots. I use a paper finger nail file cut to size. Also, use dialectic grease on both ends of the spring.

Rock Auto has all 8 for less than $30 shipped to you. If you order just the boots they will ship via US mail

STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # CPBK240 is what I used for my 06 5.4
