OBD not working---any suggestions??
So I went to try out my Edge Evo yesterday, and when I plugged it into the OBD plug, it didn't power up... thought it was a bad Evo for the longest while... ended up plugging it into my buddies truck... flashed right up!! Couldn't believe it... where do I start troubleshooting??

my 04 blew the same fuse 2 or 3 times asked stealership and they said not to leave any thing plugged in to the rear power point for a long time it will blow it. had a rear dvd player plugged up unplugged it except when using no more problems

Owners manual shows that it shares the same fuse as cig. lighter (the most common fuse to blow)on my 08 SuperCrew. I love Ford but that wasn't the smartest choice. I work at AutoZone and thats seems to be the most common reason that our OBD Scanner won't connect to customers vehicle.

Thanks guys good info. A mechanic tried to hook his computer up to mine a few days ago and it wouldn't power up. Would this also possibly cause the check engine light to come on??
