my passenger side floor board carpet is wet but my drive side is dry. I only notice it when it rains. Any idea?

the HVAC system is on that side under the dash if I had to guess I would say there is a seal leaking allowing water in from the cowl into the evaporater housing through the outside blend door then down to your floor

how can I test that to make sure that is it leaking

you will need to fallow the water i would start by looking underneath the dash with a flashlight to see if you can tell where it is coming in from then pull the cowl and look down inside
