Any pics of how your cap sits?

I'll see about getting some more pics tomorrow if need be. Snapped those three when I had a second at work. For that much money, I would think it would sit flush like it came from the factory that way.

Default Normal

There is a foam piece that separates the cap from bed rails. If it sat directly on top it would scratch the hell out of your paint. Looks perfect to me. Think about the eaves on your house. Overhang to direct water to the outside.

Probably depends on the manufacturer. My last cap fit flush, but it had a 1/4 inch of the rubber seal that showed between the bed and cap. So, I'm guessing the overhang is for looks, too.

Your close-ups may not show how good it looks from the side!

On this side it ends up flush towards the front.

I see it now. I wouldn't be happy with that. Mine was a perfect fit, all the way around. I had a tighter seal in the front, too. Mine was ugly, though, so you have the advantage there.

Does it mount through the stake holes? Maybe there's an adjustment available at the mount point?

They offered to realign it, but I'm not sure that would actually help the overhang. Unless there is a way to sqeeze the sides in

Edit: not sure if it mounts through the stake holes.
