Default NOOB! a couple of questions

First off Hi. My name is Justin and I might be getting a f150 here in a few months. It would be an ex work truck, XL 4.6 2wd. I have been browsing a little bit on here and the first thing i definitely want to do is level that nose. I think I would go with a 2.5 level and maybe a 1 inch block in the back.

Next, and along that same line i would want to get bigger tires for it. From what I read it looks like a 33 inch tall tire would be the biggest I would be able to get without rubbing, is that correct? If that is true (i'm a noobie) what would that translate into tire size? (I don't know how to convert the regular tire sizes to inches). Any way, i basically want to know the biggest size tire I can fit on the stock (17?) rims.

The only other things I would really want to do to it would be exhaust (what would you recommend?), cold air induction (will probably just try to make my own if possible), and seat covers. My only other real question would be on the seat covers, I know i have heard of ones that you can just hose off if they get dirty (neoprine?) just wondering if anyone here has bought these and if so what they think?

Anyway, thanks for taking time to read this and i look forward to learning as much about this truck as possible.

Yes 33's will fit with a leveling kit. Trying to find an CAI for the 4.2 might be difficult to do, so start looking now.

He said it was a 4.6 not a 4.2.

Okay, i understand 33's will fit but what does that translate to in normal tire dimensions? what is a good looking tire? I'm looks for recommendations for those stock rims if anyone has put 33's on those.

Welcome.. You did not mention a year. The newer trucks fit 33's with a leveling kit, I don't think the 03 and back will.

I had the Neoprene form Wet Okole on my 06 super crew. I absolutely Loved them. They don't stain with water like the cloth (i have a boat, therefore alot of wet Asses in the seats). You can throw them in the washing machine. The only problem is taking the back seat off the wall to install them, the rest of the instalation probably took about 25 minutes.
