Noise associate with AC comperssor use
I get a load GGRRRRRRRRRR noise and high frequency vibration any time I use the AC or defrost and the compressor kicks in. It does not do it until I am in the 2200 - 3000 rpm range. I have had the compressor checked and rechecked by qualified mechanics and the local dealership and they tell me there is nothing wrong with it. Could the tensioner pulley and/or tensioner be bad and vibrating when the compressor kicks in in the rpm range described? Could and idler pulley be causing this?
Any help would be much appreciated as this is driving me nuts.
