No check engine light but I still read Several Codes from scanner Help!!!
Hi Guys.....
I am having a hard time trying to figure out what going on with my truck. I have several codes BUT no check engine light. Some of the codes I can find the meanings and the others, ”Not so lucky”. The codes I'm getting are P0091,P0057,P0041,P3903,P3917,P3924,P0070,P3936,P3 940,P3957,P3960,P3987,P3A04,P3A47,P3A67,P3A80. I even had one that said the fuel rail pressure was too high.
The truck is consuming a lot of gas and there is no power from acceleration (sometimes). I can also feel power loss and gain as I travel highway speed for a long distance. The power gain and loss is not drastic but I can feel it. Also, on several occasion the truck would start then shut down, however, after I let it sit for a about 30 seconds it starts right up.
I thought new plugs, coils and fuel filter would help but it didn't. (All motorcraft products)
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love my truck and I hate when its running bad.

I'm no expert but the first thing I would do is turn the key to accessory and make sure that the CEL illuminates. Then I would pull up the codes like you did and record them. Then I would erase all the codes. Then I would put about 100 miles on the truck and check the codes again. There may be some codes that drop off.

I have the same year, 2006 Lariat. There is such a thing as "pending codes" and it matters which code reader you use as to whether or not you see them. I'd just guess that if your light isn't on then that's what they are. Like I said, I'd erase everything and put some miles on it. See what happens.
