Thanks. I'll have to look into that. The other guys said that there was a plunger switch that you could adjust. I never really found that, but have been trying to. I guess now I will look for a green spring and go from there.

Was it difficult to swap out that switch with a new one?

Alright so I've looked under the dash for the thing that would adjust my brake lights. Still didn't find it, could someone possibly be able to give me some good directions on what to look for. I have adjustable pedals and they kind of add to the confusion. Still I have break lights when I push the pedal all the way down or most of the way.

I was thinking maybe there is some moisture in the trailer receiver? Is that something that could cause my issue?

I really am trying to avoid going to the dealer, but have yet to find a solution. Please help if you can.

After finally finding the post mentioned above i was disappointed to learn that the original poster or whatever had deleted the photo.

Is there another one that you can send?

Ive got the blue n white button that the brake pedal rests on, but there isn't an adjustment to be made that I can see. (not like on a civic that I had fixed this issue with previously)

for the record my break lights have started to work intermittently. Sometimes they come on instantly, others they sort of slowly illuminate, others they begin to flicker lightly and then fully illuminate. I removed the blue in white button thingy and attempted to manually engage the lights, with no luck. After re installing the switch I had to pump the brakes a few times until pressure had built on the pedal and only then did the lights come on. I actually had to press the pedal down a tad bit in order to get the brake lights to turn off. Since then, they have remained on after parking once.. again, i just relieved the pressure and the lights were off.

I did this and it has cured my intermittent brake light issue.

Remove the switch. I took a piece of the cardboard match book, folded it, placed it on the "pressure plate" part of the brake light switch. Then covered it with electrical tape and reinstalled. Very easy and great fix. Free too.
