Already tried to read the "common problems" forum but it won't open for me. I bought my truck 6 years ago and the 4WD didn't work then, still doesn't work now. I've tried every combination of park plus brake, nuetral minus brake, and drive plus s*!# possible. I apologize if the answer is on the obvious forum, but again I can't open it. Thanks for the help folks, and as always, an individual should have the right to keep and bear arms.

Try tapping on on the shift motor, located behind the transfer case. It may have froze up from no use. The the actuators, the solenoid behind the battery against the firewall (where the vaccum hoses connect to, and the check valves.
