I dont think its the height off the ground but rather the axles. I got hastled for that. The cop said 6" lift was illegal and I said no I have a 5 inch and 35's I put it on myself I'd know and he let me off that time. My buddy got a bumper tiket in his chevy it had a nice drop bumper professinally made(his dads rich) and his stock bumper was 28 off the ground

yep 9" over stock including tires

Wisconsin law says that vehicles with up to an 8,000-pound GVWR can be pushed 5 inches above the OE height, and the tires can be increased by up to 4 inches in radius over the factory size, equaling an acceptable 9-inch lift.

no in MN they use the frame height. i have had 2 tickets and been warned numerous times

they dont enforce the frame height unless it comes to that so they just pull out there tape and measure the bumper.

See i was told that a 3/4 ton and up don't follow these rules, but i don't know. i am wanting to do 6 and 37's on a 2500HD chevy, but i don't wanna do it and get condemned.
