you mean 2000 lol yea i would use 2000, but you realy dont have to sand to start off just do some light coats to get you get it as dark as you want then clear 3 coats or so should turn out good

i just did mine on my camaro and i didnt sand them. just cleand them off with glass cleaner. But it is just a v6 camaro so i really dont care how it looks, but it turn out great....

Ok I guess I'll try, so do I need to seperate the housing or do I paint the outside?

just outside for the tails, just take them off the truck clean them good put on light coats till you get them as dark as you want then clear coat them, pretty easy just take your time and let them dry between coats, its only like 20 bucks for all the stuff but before i was done i had 50 bucks in it because i screwed up lol

wax and grease remover first
scuff with a red scotchbrite
apply THIN coats until you get the tint you want
3 nice thick coats of clear
wetsand
buff and polish
it's really easy, i gave up of nightshades and use clear with black, way easier and done in 1 shot

I never sanded and if you clear from what ive heard its a done deal no going back. I never cleared mine but i like the flat look since all the badges and rims and any other chrome pieces went to flat black lol

thats not true, i cleared mine on the first attempt, the clear didnt go on good but it all came off you can either sand it all off or use acetone, but you cant just leave the acetone on there it will burn threw the plastic, you just have to work fast......
