That's like saying an alarm is a waste of money. Thieves will only try so hard. Its suppose to act as a deterrent, as an alarm.

alarms are a waste of money haha didnt stop the thieves from taking my stereo while it was parked in front of my house. like i said if they want it they will get it.

An alarm is a deterrent but not an end to stupidity. One of the worlds most succesful thieves made the comment that he would only break into houses/vehicles etc... if they were convenient and didn't show notice of having an alarm or any sort of deterrent (stickers saying alarmed or whatnot). That being said... there will always be those desperate thieves who don't give a **** and will just bash what they have to to get what they want but yeah.

Not in my neighborhood. I think finally crooks are getting the message when criminals have been shot for breaking into people's property! I even fired a shot at a guy for messing with my gas cap!!! (which he was later caught, and was VERY lucky to go to jail and not a morgue!)
