Default Newer Engine instead of the #3V in 2005

I have read a lot about the problems with the Cam Phasers on 2004-2008 3V engines. I have a 2005 5.4L with noise. Has anyone ever put an 09 Engine in the 2005?

I was thinking the same thing as well, or possibly the 4valve navigator engine

I would be interested if it was " plug n play" without having to make any changes to the wiring harness.

Don't the 9-10 engines still use cam phasers ? For me the biggest improvement would be the 6 speed transmission.
