Default Newer battery keeps dying

2 years ago i had a brand new motocraft extreme battery, worked great.

Ok so heres the deal, my truck is sitting in my garage currently, and needs a new engine. It will start but sounds terrible. Anyways... I installed a 54 inch led bar and turned it on a couple times while the truck wasnt running... Ok so my battery died after that, no shock to me there... So i use jumper cables get the battery up to the normal charged level let the truck fun for a couple of minutes the battery guage showing that it was above half.

The truck sat there for 2 days not running, went out to look at the battery guage and its almost all the way down, truck wont start, all i hear is one click.

The battery is newer and i havnt had any problems with it, but it is a couple years old... Help!!!

Thanks alot!!

You can't use another battery and jumper cables to "charge" your current battery. Buy a battery tender/charger, and then allow it to deep charge for 24 hours. If that battery is healthy, it will charge back up.

battery guage showing that it was above half.
Doesn't the battery gauge effectively show current voltage as opposed to 'current battery charge'?

An LED light bar really down't draw much anyways. It shouldn't kill it from turning it on a couple times. I think you just have a bad battery.
