Newbie/intro
Hi all, found this place a couple weeks ago. I've found these forums extremely helpful for the various vehicles I've owned/own and looks like this one will be just as helpful.
I picked up () my new-to-me, 06 F150 FX4 Supercab 5.4 two weeks ago. 85000KM (53K miles), silver/black leather, fairly loaded I think with power seats, sunroof, impressive-for-stock stereo, sliding window (manual), bed liner, and running boards. Got it for $17400 CDN pre tax. It needed brakes (done), oil change (done, changed the diff oil too), and, based on what I've heard/read, I'll be changing the plugs.
Some observations after two weeks/800 miles. First, these things are an incredible value. Second, this thing is amazingly useful and comfortable. Third, it doesn't matter how I drive it, it's a pig on fuel (12-16mpg US). Oh well, I didn't buy it thinking it was going to be much better but it still hurts going to the pump.
I bought the truck as a keeper and hope to see big miles out of her longterm (300K/15years hopefully). Mainly as a daily driver and to tow whatever I need (small boat and quads).
Thanks in advance for the help/advice etc.
Tim.

welcome to the site... good to see another bc'er. I bought my truck in december. pretty similar to yours. I had 66000km when i bought it. Got it for 19.
As for gas mileage... i think my trucks got good mileage.. With the stock tires I was getting 800km per tank. now with 34s, im getting about 700 if I try hard (well I guess its more than 700 because the gauge reads a little low). Its actually better gas mileage than my old 93 ranger. Im happy.

BTW, is this a "post pics" kind of site?
