Default Newbie first questions

Hi,

i am from Germany i live near Hamburg. I drive a 2004 Ford F150 XLT. I think it is the elevent generation of F150. My airbag lamp is on and as i read it is a typical Ford F150 problem. What should i do, change the SRS module? Where is it located? My other question is: Where is the best online store to buy parts for my F150? It is hard to get parts here and if you get they are expensive, so i have to import myself some parts. Thank you all. Dirk

If I remember correctly that light was a recall of a clock spring in the drivers side airbag which could deploy at anytime. I had that dame thing to my truck. Did u get a letter in the mail from ford? You should be able to take it in and get fixed free.

I have already contacted Ford Germany, they say that there were no recalls for my truck. I do not trust them. Can anybody check if there were recalls for my truck: 1FTPX12594FA23286

Thank you! Dirk

your welcome if they deny you again id print that off or have them go to the carfax website and prove it to them that there is indeed a recall.

Default F150

You do not need carfax for the recalls. Look at:

If you would like to check for recall information in the future please visit:
- go to www.fordowner.com
- select "Recall Notices" under "Service" tab
- enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

This wrotes Ford USA to me and it works!
