New Wheels and Tires???
Being this my first post I've been reading and looking around the forum trying to figure this out...but I wasn't too sure...
I've got a 05' Supercab 5.4 2wd everything is stock. I'm thinking of adding larger wheels and tires, but not too sure what it will exactly do...
I'm looking to just slightly raise the truck, and still retain the ability to park in a parking garage...(live in Atlanta, GA and have to park downtown sometimes)
I'm just looking for advice or any possible problems yall have run into? I'm looking either 18" or 20" wheels and a more aggressive tread tire. What size leveling kit should I be looking at? What size tires will fill the fender w/o rubbing?
Sorry if this is redundant, but this is the first truck I've really thought about "making it mine"....
Thanks!!!
---Edit---Here is an example of a look I want...I know mine is not a FX4, but I want this type of wheel and tire look...

if you were to throw in a 2" leveling kit you will be able to fit a 33" tire on np

I have an 06 xlt 5.4 4x4. I went from a 255/70/17(31.5"+/-) to a 305/70/17 (34.1") and went from 15.5 to 10.2. Since then I added a hypertech programmer and k&n air filter and currently get about 12.5 occassionally 13. I suspect it will be safe to say that you will lose anywhere from 2-5mpg.
