New user Just bought 2004 FX4 - 18"
I have a 2004 fx4 with 21K miles I just got last week from CarMax (My first F150 ever).
First order of biz is to replace the 17s with 18" stock wheels (I have a bad tire and might as well not buy new 17" tires). I am reading I need to reprogram for the bigger wheels. Other than the speedo, can this wait until I order and receive the Edge? I coudl care less about the speedo being off for a while ... just dont want to mess anything up.
2nd issue: I have a diesel sound after warming up (rattling). It seems to be the Cam Phaser issue from what I have read.
I have 2 months left on the factory warranty.
I live in Northern VA (woodbridge) and wanted to know a dealer that will do the TSB w/o any BS. I thought about taking it back to CarMAx but too late now.
I see one member is from Dumfries.

congrats on the New truck, and Welcome to the site.
and as long as teh tire is is the same size you wont have to change anythign, but if you do change the tire size, the edge will easilly change modify the speedo for you.

I have 17" with Ameritrac tires. 2 Look rough so I am buying 18" factory rims with BFGs on 'em.
I will put in the Edge and the 18's on AFTER I take it to the dealer. Dont need any hassles.

Welcome to the site tsi91at. Why not just go to Cowles Ford? I have been taking mine there since I bought it even though I didn't buy from them. They've taking care of me so far.
btw, they don't mind that I have an Edge on my dash when I take in in either. I do return it to stock and unplug the cable but I leave it on the dash.
How is your radio reception? What stations are you listing to? I have some issues with 101.5 and 107.3, poor reception, sometimes a few others but more so on these.

I am leaving for OH in a couple of weeks so I have no time to have the work done here. I don't need any problems or take any chances.
I saw the Edge has jumped up in price on discountpowerparts. That stinks. I will keep hunting for a good deal on one.
