Any idea on what this may be? I replaced one 02 where the wires were loosing some of their coating and it went out for a day or two n now is back. Is there any tuner that will get rid of all this as I could nt complain with some more power.
A diablo sport predator tuner can turn off the rear sensors so you could remove them from the pipes completely.

If it came from a large dealer, I'd speak with a lawyer and call the local media. Most of the time a large dealership doesn't like to deal with questions from reporters about why they knowingly sold an illegally modified vehicle and refuse to correct the situation.

If he sells them as a rebuildable then he has no worries cause it got a salvage title. I think. But a complete working order car that's said to have no mechanical defects cannot be sold with an illegal modification. tampering with the emissions system is a federal offense. And I'm almost certain the dealer has to do something about it before selling it. I'm not sure if I completely understand your comment. I know in Louisiana if your vehicle fails you have 30 days to fix the issue in the meantime they put a bright orange sticker in your windshield until it passes inspection and you'll get stopped by every officer around checking the date it was put on the window. But I believe any salvage titled car can be sold that way but it's the buyers responsibility to make it street legal.

I'm unsure what state the op lives in so I can't give you 100% accurate info. As the laws do vary from state to state. Arkansas where I live doesn't do inspections so no one will know the wiser unless they take it to another state that does inspections and they register it there.

Yes you are correct every vehicle that he sells does have a salvage title now that I think of it and yeah if his title is clean and they sold it to you with no cats you might be getting more than just new cats if ya know what i mean $$$

Do you have a really raspy pop sound on yours? My 07 got a raspy pop when the cats were taken off the magnaflows help a little with it but it's still there and I don't have the cash to buy new cats.
