I usually ride Sand Mt. Nevada (awesome...huge hill climbs, Its literally a huge mountain of sand) and the Winnemucca Dunes every once in a while, just outside Winnemucca Nevada. Sand Mt. is perfect for hill shooting and drag racing and Winnemucca is perfect for all around duning. I ride a 2007 Raptor 700 with a few bells and whistles

Buck you need to get on moddedraptor.com... I live about 2 hours from little sahara. Nice truck, wrong quad brand though. LOL We are fixing to go there oct. 31st. place is great, talk about a good time. Anyone who has never been should go once, but be ready to buy a quad after going... I spent most of my time drag racing.

haha Sorry Jason, I'm honda through and through. This one I have is still stock length, but thats about it. Tears up the drag strip at Sahara everytime I'm down there. Those Raptors are just too top heavy for me, plus I MX and jump a lot and I've never seen a raptor at the track. I would however like to try one of the new YFZ450Rs, those things are SICK.

Buck, the company I work for moves me all over the country and my next stop may be Victorville California. Can you say GLAMIS??????????????? I friggin love the dunes man.

They are Nitto Terra Grapplers. Getting the Dune Grapplers next those are sweet.

Jason, I learned a lot on the old 660s but havent ever ridden a new 700. I know if modded they can give me a run for my money pretty easy.

The 700s are a whole different animal than the old 660s. I bet u would be suprised if u hopped on a new 700. And mine is no slouch . mine is built so I can have fun at the dunes and the trails, don't do much track riding, but I have heard of and seen people that race mx with them. They aren't near as top heavy as the old 660s. Modded 700s are very hard to match mod for mod, they are a bit heavier than the standard 450s but pound for pound they react way better to modifications.

Thats awesome if u get to hit up Glamis! The dunes are pretty awesome! If u are ever out towards Reno hit up Sand Mt. Its a blast!
