I love this tire it will destroy snow. I have them on my truck right now and they have about 23k miles on them and still have 3/4 an inch of tread. Id say noise wise it will get worse as they get older and start to harden, every goodyear tires does.

I can't agree more. I run a very similar tire in the winter. Mine are Goodyear Wrangler Territories, the was another post , where I posted a picture of these, in comparison to the Duratracs, and they are nearly identical in tread.
I ran these last year , and never once had to worry about traction. These things really shine in deep snow, but still work well in wet conditions. As already stated, they're not very noisy either, I just went to the stereo menu and bumped the speed volume up a notch or two, and didn't notice the difference on the highway.
I think you'll be happy with your choice.

I think its obvious he did a tread overlay and doubled the tread depth lol but i think he intended it as an estimate

definitely thinking about getting rid of the runners, but what do you think about the mud flaps? I keep looking and looking at them and it almost has convinced me that it may look better without them. Suggestions?

Maybe he meant 3/4 of the tread left...and not 3/4 of an inch...possibly?

Talking

LOL sorry to mis quote guys but to a redneck everything looks bigger, as stated the tires have 18/32s of tread new and mine still have just under 15/32s left. I have the 10 ply and keep them at 45-50 psi and drive it like i stole it. I have alot of extra weight on my front end and these tires are hands down the most solid tire i have used. my truck stays loaded with no less then 500 pounds of gear and redneck crap in the camper and i have had no issues with hard stops water rain or snow. If they stop making these like they did the old MT tires ill stalk goodyear management till they start making them again hahahahah.
