yesterday while i was looking for backup cameras i stumbled across a retrofit kit that looks just like the kit they use on the new F150's where they use the emblem/camera combo. the problem is, now i cant find the site. anybody have a clue where i should look?

I'm using the newer style emblem camera on my 97 with a 2010 SD tailgate. You have to do some major cutting. If you have a aftermarket double din with a rear camera input you can buy a whole kit with harness on Ebay for about $300..

i installed an 09+ emblem camera on my 06. i used a dremel to cut out a square opening for the camera and wiring to pass through into the tailgate. it fits perfectly and looks completely stock. i searched online for wiring diagrams to decipher the factory wiring for video signal, 12+ and - . the camera i used was meant for an 09 flex...they use the same size as the f150.
