Could have been dropped at some point and had a hair line crack in the porcelain, manufacturing defect, etc..... It happens.

Yep.

That's why I hand-inspect every plug that I buy, over the counter ( no i-sales for me for this reason ). I once went through an entire shipment to find 3 good sets of 8 7989's.

Some folks even found spinning ground shields on MC plugs ( not SP-515's )(so much fer the gas seal).

Dang gorillas must drop-kicked 'em, lol.

I hope not. The original plugs had around 100k on them and none of them were that bad. I hoping it was just a defective plug. Truck is running smoother than ever though.
