new pioneer head unit with install pics
ive had a "full" system in my truck since day one....i.e. 2 amps, 2 subs, 4 speakers, 2 tweeters and a capacitor. but the whole thing was running on the stock head unit and i hated it. finally got sick enough of it to buy a pioneer p4000dvd head unit.
looks stock yet oh so good
a pic of the main menu
a pic of some of my preset radio stations
my ipod and flash drive hidden in my glove box
super man on DVD...hard to get a good shot of this action scene

all the guts hanging out
this is the box i got from a buddy of mine that allows me to watch movies while the car is in motion
and the one thing that every lifted truck must have, a back up camera

Sweet!!! I just had a D3 installed in my truck last weekend and man do I love that thing. Found out though that I have to get an AV cable to run movies through my iPod classic though. I get sound, but no video.
What kind of back up camera is that? HOw difficult was it to install yourself?

That little box you have isn't necessary to have in order to watch movies while driving. How did you run the USB to the glove box, I ran out of time and just stuffed it back behind the dash. Also, where did you get the camera and for how much?

wxmcpo, from what ive read, you dont have to buy a special cable, you just have to adjust the settings in the ipod to allow it to work. i just cant remember where i read that.
lovethetide, i know there are many ways to bypass the brake rule but the box was near free so i got it. ive seen people wire up momentary switches to bypass the ground wire but thats pretty ghett looking and a pain to have to push buttons every time you want to watch a video. the box does everything for me
i got the camera from best buy because it was on clearance but you can get them for cheap on ebay. i didnt feel like waiting a week to save a couple bux

Unfortunately for the 80g iPod classics you need the AV cables. Not sure if I'll go that route or simply get an iPod that actually works with the system. The shop that did my install did the bypass for me and it works great, but no iPod movies.
