stock head unit
I have two questions well maybe more i asked a question a while back about puting a drop down tv in my truck, well its not a dvd player so i figured i would go and get a new head unit that would play dvds and hook it up that way. So my buddy was over the other day and was looking at the stock head unit and saw the aux. button and said that i may be able to get a play station to play the dvds on the tv in the truck and run the sound through the factory headunit beacuse of the aux. can this be done ? have i lost everybody? cause i dont have a clue about how this stuff works but any help would be nice thanks!

If you have the stereo mini jack on your dash in the tray then yes you can make it work. If you just simply have the Aux button but no jack it can still work but will take a few more parts. Contact your local audio installation store and they should hook you up with the parts needed. You will need a preout through your changer controls and then you you will be able to plug your PS into that. You will still need to get some sort of power source for the PS though.
If you have the mini plug on the dash simply get a Mini-to-RCA cable from radio shack and plug that dude up. Presto SOUND!!
good luck!
