New owner, looking for stereo and perform upgrades
Hi, I just purchased a 2006 Lariat crew cab, and wanted to know what I can do for adding a sub just to get better sound, what speakers are good for doors, and what performance upgrades are the best and easiest to get some more power.
Thanks,

For a sub, several variations are available but you can typically fit two 10's under the back seat without losing any room. Try http://www.supercrewsound.com to find a box. As far as the other speakers, most of us will recommend some type of 6.5". You will have to get an adapter plate since the stock opening is for a 6x8".
As far as recommendations on speaker types, for the front, I have kicker RS series components. The front door has a natural opening for the tweeter. The back door would be great with a Boston Acoustic 3-way. The have great sound clarity and since your installing subs this might be a good set-up for you.
I've found some great prices on speakers at http://hookedontronics.com
Hope this helps you.

Inaugural TOTM
Can't speak much for the stereo recommedations as I still have stock everything in my truck currently. I did pick up a Pioneer Avic D3 last week that will be installed as soon as it comes in. Still trying to decide what to do as far as speakers though.
Now for performance mods. I'd recommend the Stage 1 kit from Troyer Performance http://www.troyerperformance.com/cgi...o=Stage104354C
A CAI, exhaust and tuner are the top 3 performance mods evyerone does to their trucks. You will notice a huge difference in the feel and performance of your truck, it's like driving a totally new truck.
