Hey guys...just ordered a muffler for the truck...didnt have the $$ right now for a full system...so picked up a magnaflow SS muffler #12246...for $60 shipped brand new..so cant complain...will get sound vids up once i install it...but was wondering do i need to have the muffler welded in place of the facotry one? or is there another away to install?..pics,links,vids all appreciated..

I'm assuming you got the 2.5" muffler. If so just get them to swap out the mufflers and you'll be set.

yups...actually its the: 5 x 8 Oval / 2.5 Center Inlet / 2.5 Center Outlet / 18 Body Length / 24 Overall ...to be exact..lol...would i be able to install that myself? just cutting old muffler out and using the muffler clamps?...or would be better to bring somewere and have it welded?

this is a personal opinion.... get it welded... nothing like being in busy traffic and the thing come undone... just to exchange mufflers i wouldnt hink would be much but it just depends on hwere you live... i got a new muffler, chrome tips, sido for 300 bucks... out the door... when i keep my foot out of it, it does get better mileage.... but man it sounds good when you kick it....
