Default New Member! got a mild lowering question...

Hey All,
Been loving this site for the past few days. Great source of info and seems like good people. Anyways after doing some searching, I finally came up with what I want to do with my "new to me" F150. I tow a 22' wakeboard boat, and drive daily, so with that in mind what is the best option for me to go for a very mild drop?

Im looking to make this mostly aftermarket upgrade equipment because I bought this truck from my buddy, who had a 3/5 drop on it originally, than decided to raise it. The shop that did the lift butchered the suspension. They lifted it by using 4wd front struts/springs, which are causing the upper control arms to have about a 1/8" clearance from the coil, and occasionally touches. Not to mention the upper and lower ball joint angles which are max'd out. I am planning on replacing the upper control arms, and the lower ball joints. I am also planning on replacing the strut and springs as well. The rear is easy to fix, its just a block and shocks.

That said my buddy also gave me his old ground force 3/5 kit, which is a flip rear kit. I dont really want to go that low, as I do go camping often, and drive on rutted dirt roads, and Im not a huge fan of axle flips. I am thinking a drop shackle and shock combo, but again not sure what brand for good handling and ride.

What do you guys suggest the best parts I can get to replace the front end strut assembly and rear components, that would also help alot with ride and handling but still have a nice stance? Thanks in advance guys!

Also do 4wd and 2wd use the same springs in front and just different struts?

Check out Bell Tech, the 3" drop in the front uses a new strut with a lower perhaps for the springs but maintains the same rate. The drop is actually adjustable but maxes out at 3.

Not sure about the other options for rear as I use did the flip kit.
