Thanks guys.

The muffler is rattling internally so I just ordered a Magnaflow to replace it. Not sure what could be inside but it doesn't sound good. It appears to be an aftermarket muffler but I can't tell what kind. The body is 28" long. The Magnaflow should sound better anyway.

Great looking truck! As for the tuner, yes, the 5.4 will really wake up with that SCT you have.

Thanks. Better throttle response would be nice. Seems like I have to almost floor it to get any response. Runs good though.

I was in the same situation as you having had a modded 7.3 PSD.

Nice looking truck!
I did the Gott's Mod and added a Livewire TS with custom tunes from MPT. The difference was shocking to say the least. The way it pulls almost reminds me of my 7.3 when I run it on the 93 octane performance tune. I can get darm close to 20 mpg @ 70 mph on 89 octane performance tune.

That's good to hear. I'll check to see what I need to do to get some tunes on my Livewire TS. I'm still waiting for the dealership to call me so I can go flash my 6.7 back to stock which will un-marry the tuner from that truck.

Let us know how you like the new muffler!

Yea, adding a tuner will fix that. Also tweaking the RPM shift points and shift firmness will help. I get tons better throttle response with a gryphon than I did without anything on it. And that's just using a stock tune with a few tweaks here and there.

Since you're adding a high flow muffler, you might as well unrestrict your intake while you're at it. Check out my build thread for that (https://www.f150forum.com/f78/my-200...6/#post4750854) -- there's literally nothing other than taking off the old intake and slapping the new duct in place. It will even stay in there under its own pressure. Won't CEL you like CAIs do as you're not changing anything, you're just removing a pinch point in the intake.

Got it installed last night. Just cut out the old one with my sawzall and using a couple of clamps installed the Magnaflow. It's sounds good. Not very loud but has a good low rumble. I used the largest oval muffler that Magnaflow makes just to keep it quiet. Throttle seems a bit more responsive now.

Thanks. I'll check out your intake idea.
