Just got a new to me 05 F-150. Loving it so far. Its got 94k miles on it. Seems to have been well cared for. Original owner did the suspension upgrade, no idea what maintenance history is like. Looking for any gotchas, better get this done, or other advice and experiences for a vehicle of this age and mileage. I've already been browsing this forum and answering a ton of my initial questions. Got to love the Forums.

Oil, tranny fluid, tasnfer case, diff (front and rear) air filter, make sure your 4wd works.. (get updated IWE solenoid if you dont have it, behind battery on firewall if it has rain guard then its new) take it to a ford dealership and have them reflash pcm for all updates/tsbs, and the usual breaks tierods ball joints etc.. look at the ford service manual online

The biggest thing is do plugs and COPs. Make sure to buy the isle tool first. (Read up on plug change before u do)

Other then that take it to a local garage and lift it in air and do a undertruck inspection,

I would have to agree with all the above. Start with all the fluids. Make sure the transmission fluid doesn't smell burned (drop and fill not a flush), any early warning signs on the front and rear diff and the transfer case fluid. I'm sure all is well will just give you peace of mind.

Then I wouldn't do the front diff then. Leaks every time you put the fluid in.
