New lights behind my grill!!
Hey guys, just wanted to show you guys my new light set up I did behind the grill. It looks sweet, and works better than i thought with my stock FX4 grill.
I used 1/4 inch flat iron, and i think cut it to like 43 inches, my original plan was to just bolt it to the kinda thick "ledge" coming off of the head light housing, but when i was probing around i noticed a slit between the headlight housing and a metal support with a gap between of about 1/4 inch(the support was under the headlight) so i squeezed the bar in the gap, and put one self tapper through the "ear" of the headlight assembly, then ran a peice of angled aluminum used for joining wood to the oil cooler, and used it as a support to hold the weight from my two hella 700FF. Here are a few pics.
I will take more pics in the daylight tomorrow to show you what it looks like with the grille open and closed, and to show the parts of the plastic radiator cover i had to trim to make the 700ffs fit. I have them wired to where they come on with my regular head lights, and when i flip to my brights they go off, but if i hold my brights like, when you flash at someone, they stay on, i also have a toggle tied into them so i can turn them off if i get alot of people flashing at me... which never happens. I have alot of people asking me what option that was or if it was stock from ford. The second pic is with all my lights on.
Let me know what you guys think.

Here are the pics, showing the support and cross bar, and then one with all my lights on. which is what most people get when they flash telling me my lights are to bright.

Did you do a HID conversion, or were they originally HIDs? I like the looks with the billet grill, and think more light would go through, but i was suprised at the amount of light that gets through mine.
