Hey everyone, I was driving to work today and noticed that my parking brake light was on. When I turn off and restart the truck the light goes off. But when i start to drive and give it a fair amount of gas I loss power and then the light comes back on and engine power is back to normal. Does anyone have any ideas???

Does your check engine light come on? ABS? You need to get a hold of a scanner that can read ABS Codes. Sounds to me almost like a failsafe mode... Try unplugging your ABS Module and take a drive down the road ( safely ) and see if the light comes back on.

The abs light is on too. no check engine though. My abs light has been on for awhile. came on when i had a really bad shimmy in my rotors. so i replaced them. Abs light stayed on. Where is the abs module located?

ABS Module on my f150 is located on the drivers side toward the front of the engine bay. It will be a big plug in where you see brake lines plugged into. Mine went out and started having the same issues, but I was going into fail safe mode. I would lose power and then the fail safe flashed on my digital display. ABS light stayed on all the time also. Check engine light would not.

sounds like maybe the parking brake is engaging it self? that would also cause the shimmy i no that use to happen on my dads 04
