Default New Here! This Is What I Have, Any Advice?

Hello! My name is Tyler, I have a 2006 5.4L F150 XLT. It's got 101k miles and lived in Michigan until a couple weeks ago. It was my dads truck, all I'll say is he wasn't really a car guy like I am so you know it needs some love.

It has your typical 04-08 running problems (low/rough idle, hesitation on acceleration, dead spot around 45-60mph), work I have done myself:
Spark Plugs (all 8, broke 4 of them)
Coil's
Cleaned Throttle body
Cleaned MAF sensor
Injector cleaner

I dropped it off at the dealership today so hopefully they come up with something because I'm out of ideas as to what the problem is.

More then likely, the cam phasers are giving you trouble. Since they control valve timing at RPM ranges, I'd say they will need replacement.

You need to get an OBDII blue tooth adaptor and the Torque Pro App. It'll help tremendously to diagnose and eliminate issues, only costs about $15 total.

Once you get that set up, monitor your fuel trim levels and O2 sensors.

I want to thank everyone for the advice! I did some digging around the forum based on the what I felt from the truck, I came up with catalytic converters. So as any 19 year old kid who cant afford to do it the "right way" would do, I took out the O2 sensors that come before the cats, this relieved the back pressure and made it run normal again. Obviously I cant leave it like it is bc its very loud and sounds awful but it helped me confirm that the cats were my issue.
Thoughts on straight piping the cats?

Glad you found the problem! Why not get a set of magnaflow hi-flow cats? You can get a set for about $150.
