Default new here... couple problems...couple questions

Hey name is Eric. Just bought a new daily last saturday. Traded my 2006 monte carlo SS in on a 2007 Ford F150 FX2. White in color and love it! Got it so i can tow my 99 s10 with a 96 corvette motor that puts around 360 down at the wheels.

One problem is that when i get into it in the morning for work the fuel gauge reads about a 1/2 tank lower than the night before. But gradually works itself back up on the way to work. Check engine light came on and then went off the same day later in the day. Didnt think nothing of it but the engine light came on again today and its starting to bug me since the truck only has 5500 miles on it. Any input?

Now i wasnt expecting 20 miles to the gallon out of the truck i would be stupid to but what are somethings i can do to boost up the MPG?

Now since it is a 2wd i would like to lower it a bit but did some searching on here and have found that you guys arent really into the lowering and such as the s10 guys are. Anyone shed some light onto this subject for me. Thanks alot guys and looking for a warm welcome for a guy that came over to ford from chevy. test drove a 2007 silverado and this truck made it feel like a piece of junk.

THANKS GUY

we both have the same truck just mine is the gray like what your grill color is. i was thinking about lowering mine but the size of the truck doesn't look great too low. My opinion... I think it's the wheel wells they are huge compared to the actual wheel size. i would go up on the rim size but not too big and maybe a little lower profile tire. to see what they look like lowered go to youtube. i have found alot of cool mods to f150s there.

i dont really want it slammed on the ground like my s10. just enough to kill the wheel gap thats all. Anyone have a picture of a white truck with the stock 20s on it?

not exactly sure if that NJ stands for New Jersey on the TSB but the truck has a Kansas city build sticker on it.

my truck has the same problem. when i fill it up it says its only bout 3/4 the way full. i know thats not right cus i put in like 30 gallons and i have a 35.7 gallon tank. mine is an 06 and is out of warranty so i dont think ill be taking it to a dealer any time soon unless someone knows of a recall that they might have had for this particular problem.
