Default New Guy intro

Hey, Been reading lots of sticky's and getting lots of good info today.
I'm sure I'll have some questions in the near future.

Recently bought an '06 F-150 XLT Crew Cab with 140k on it. I'm putting together a big parts list for a good tune-up since I don't really know what the previous owner did.

I really like my truck so far. It does idle a little rough but I'm hoping plugs and PVC valve will deal with that.

Great forum.

Welcome. If you can put up with smart-a## remarks, many different opinions, and lots of good info and advice, then you are in the right place.

Plugs can be a monster. Read up on the plug change. Gonna need to grab a lisle tool before you start that job.

And welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the site and good job on creating your own and probably the only maintenance records that the truck already has. Start your own that way you know for sure it was done and then stick to the maintenance. Great trucks and they will last.

Check your FPDM under your spare tire Art, it's quick and has stranded many-a-driver!

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome - you may have to set aside some time to read up on the common issues. This will help prepare or prevent unexpected problems.

I thought that was only a 5.4 issue. Plugs seem pretty straight forward on the 4.6. Am I wrong?

Sorry was thinking 5.4. I'm not sure on the 4.6 someone else will have to chime in on that one.
